The social responsibility of the Company is based on the following principles
1. Compliance with laws. Combating corruption and bribery:
respects the laws, regulations in force and rules in Romania and in other countries where they carry out activities;
does not allow offering money (bribes), tips, loans, financial guarantees, gifts, incurring travel expenses, accommodation, entertainment or other improper benefits regardless of form, to public officials, employees of our clients or suppliers in order to improperly influence any actions or decisions in order to promote the business interests of SC PENTAROM SRL;
does not allow its employees to request or accept benefits such as bribes, tips, loans, financial guarantees, gifts or other improper benefits regardless of form, method or purpose;
actively participates in the fight against corruption, fraud and discourages the use of dishonest or illegal means to obtain business advantages;
reports to state institutions, according to the legislation in force, including those provided by law 656/2002 for the prevention and sanctioning of money laundering, as well as for the establishment of measures to prevent and combat the financing of acts of terrorism;
does not establish business relations with economic agents active in countries that support terrorism;
employees of SC PENTAROM SRL will avoid all situations in which conflicts of interest may arise. Employees will avoid having personal relationships or financial interests in other enterprises that carry out business relations with SC PENTAROM SRL;
prohibits the falsification of documents, including those drawn up by the authorities regarding its activity;
2. Respect for human and employee rights:
respects the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 10 principles of the Global Compact in the field of human rights;
does not apply preferential or discriminatory treatment to employees regarding employment, pay or distribution of work tasks, based on sex, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinions, social or ethnic origin;
respects employees' right to association, to be represented through trade unions or in other ways;
prohibits illegal or forced labor within the group's units, suppliers or third parties;
ensures the increase of staff performance and their involvement for the benefit of the organization through training, awareness and motivation;
administrators or employees of SC PENTAROM SRL will not harass or discriminate against any colleague or business partner, for any reason;
3. Respecting the rights of children and young people:
does not accept child labor in its facilities, subcontractors or suppliers;
respects national legislation in the field and requires this from its subcontractors and suppliers;
respects the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) of the United Nations Organization in which it is stipulated that the child's interest always prevails, respects the child's right to be protected from economic exploitation and not to perform hard work that affects his education, mental health, mental, spiritual, moral or social development;
complies with the Convention of the International Labor Organization no. 138 of 1973 regarding the minimum age for employment, which stipulates that the minimum age is 15 years, and also complies with the Romanian Labor Code, which provides in art. 13 paragraph (3) that "Employment of persons under the age of 15 is prohibited";
respects the Convention of the International Labor Organization no. 182/1999 on the prohibition of the worst forms of child labor and the immediate action to eliminate them;
accepts young people's work by avoiding hard, dangerous jobs, night work and respecting the work schedule of maximum 6 hours/day, so that the health, safety and morality of young people are not endangered.
4. Protection of the environment, occupational health and safety:
ensures the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution, maintaining the health and safety of personnel;
is engaged in the efficient exploitation of natural resources, by reducing the consumption of energy and raw materials and finding ways to reduce, recover and recycle waste;
uses manufacturing technologies that have no impact on the atmosphere, soil and water;
manages the health and safety of employees by identifying hazards and assessing the risks of occupational accidents and illnesses at workplaces, by applying active measures to reduce risks.
5. Protection of the interests of suppliers and customers:
deliver safe and quality products and services;
strengthen its relationships with customers, suppliers and the community by creating mutually beneficial partnerships based on trust, honesty, integrity and respect;
apply correct marketing policies;
does not apply discriminatory actions in the selection of suppliers;
requires suppliers to comply with legal requirements regarding environmental protection, health and safety at work, as well as respecting human and employee rights;
ensures honest and prompt communication and resolution of problems arising in the relationship with customers, suppliers and the community;
ensures the confidentiality of information transferred from customers and suppliers in business relations (including contractual clauses, drawings and sketches, technical specifications, reference samples and other information related to the product development process, intellectual property rights including patentable rights).
Every employee within the organization has the right, without fear of repercussions from anyone, to inform the General Manager about any criminal activity or that goes against our principles of activity.
